What if I need to withdraw my funds from TermPlus early?

Early withdrawals are not permitted under normal circumstances. 

Before investing, it’s important to ensure you’re comfortable committing your funds for the full term.

If you’re unsure whether you’ll need access to your funds during the term, it may be worth considering whether a shorter term length is more appropriate.

Can I withdraw my funds anytime?

TermPlus operates on fixed terms, meaning you commit your investment for the selected duration (1, 2 or 5 years). Early withdrawals are not permitted. At the end of your chosen term, your funds will be deposited back into your Superhero Wallet, or you can elect to roll your funds into another TermPlus investment on Superhero. 

Why has my TermPlus income changed?

TermPlus pays income monthly based on a variable target rate that moves as a fixed margin over the RBA cash rate.

How do I track my TermPlus investment?

You can easily manage and track your TermPlus investment via the Superhero dashboard. Here, you can monitor your earnings, reinvestment options and upcoming maturity dates.

How often is income paid?

Income is calculated daily and paid monthly. You can choose to have income paid directly into your Superhero Wallet or have it reinvested into your TermPlus balance to take advantage of compounding returns.

What investment terms are available?

TermPlus offers fixed investment terms of 1 year, 2 years or 5 years. You can choose the term that best suits your investment strategy and financial goals.

What is the minimum deposit for TermPlus?

The minimum investment amount for TermPlus is $2,000. This allows you to start earning competitive returns with a low entry requirement.

How safe is TermPlus?

TermPlus offers the potential for attractive and reliable returns through exposure to global private credit markets.. 

It’s important to note that global private credit is generally uncorrelated with listed stock markets – that is, there is not a direct connection between stock market performance and private credit.

Furthermore, TermPlus offers three layers of protection, all backed by a co-investment from the manager, to support capital stability and monthly income payments.

Investing in TermPlus is not the same as depositing money with an ADI.  Unlike ADIs, any investment in TermPlus will not be covered by the financial claim scheme (also known as the Government Bank Guarantee) established under the Banking Act 1959 (Cth), which covers deposits up to A$250,000 per depositor per ADI.

Is TermPlus a bank term deposit?

TermPlus is not a bank or a term deposit. It is an investment product that provides exposure to global private credit markets.

The issuer of TermPlus (Pengana Capital Limited (ABN 30 103 800 568, AFSL 226 56) is not authorised as an Approved Deposit-Taking Institution (ADI) under the Banking Act 1959 (Cth) and is governed by the corporations Act under ASIC, rather than supervised by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.  Investing in TermPlus is not the same as depositing money with an ADI.  Unlike ADIs, any investment in TermPlus will not be covered by the financial claim scheme (also known as the Government Bank Guarantee) established under the Banking Act 1959 (Cth), which covers deposits up to A$250,000 per depositor per ADI.

Are there any fees associated with using TermPlus on Superhero?

There are no setup, transaction or monthly investment fees when you invest in TermPlus through Superhero. 

As TermPlus is an actively managed portfolio, the underlying global private credit investments do incur management fees. However these are already factored into the net target rates, so returns and target rates are shown net of underlying manager fees.
